Collaboration with Dane Badal, 2016
Rooted in our search for truth, we question our identifications.
Both Dane and Leila’s roots are half Dutch half Suriname-Hindustani. Through the immediate sense of recognition in their meeting and discussion around the complexity of “belonging”, their further exploration resulted in a 15’ performance, accompanied with live-music, at Maas Theater Rotterdam in 2016.
